Everything you need to know about buying and selling on Rig Patrol.
Rig Patrol is a marketplace built exclusively for adventure vehicles — overland trucks, vans, campers, trailers, and gear. Instead of scrolling past commuter cars on a general classifieds site, every listing here is something you'd actually want to take off the pavement.
Right now, everything is free — creating an account, browsing, and listing a rig for sale. We may introduce optional paid features (like featured placement) down the road, but we'll always be upfront about it before anything changes.
Every listing has a "Contact Seller" button that opens a direct message thread. Rig Patrol doesn't handle payments or shipping — those details are worked out directly between buyer and seller.
No — we cover four categories: Vehicles (trucks, vans, SUVs, motorhomes, expedition rigs), Campers (slide-ins, pop-ups, flatbed campers), Trailers (travel trailers, off-road trailers, and teardrops), and Gear + Accessories (rooftop tents, racks, power systems, and more).
We ask sellers to include detailed photos, build specs, and a full list of modifications on every listing. As with any private-party purchase, we recommend a pre-purchase inspection and meeting in person before any money changes hands.
Yes. Plenty of our community buys and sells partial builds and project rigs — just be clear in your description about what's finished and what's left to do.
Not directly. Many of our sellers are open to arranging shipping through a third-party transport company, especially for long-distance sales — you can work that out in your message thread with the seller.
From My Account, open "My Listings" to edit details, add photos, mark it as sold, or take it down entirely at any time.
