What we collect, why, and how we handle it.
Last updated: September 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Rig Patrol ("we," "us") collects when you use our marketplace for adventure vehicles, campers, trailers, and gear, and how we use, share, and protect it. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a password (which is hashed — we never see or store it in plain text).
Listing information. When you publish a listing, we store the details you provide: title, category, price, location, year, mileage, description, and any photos you upload.
Messages to sellers. When you contact a seller through a listing, your name, email address, and message are sent directly to that seller's email inbox. We do not store the content of these messages in our database — they pass through momentarily to be delivered and are not retained by us afterward.
Basic technical data. Our hosting and infrastructure providers (see Section 4) may automatically log standard technical information like IP address and browser type, as most websites do, for security and reliability purposes.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we don't currently use your data for advertising or targeted marketing.
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run Rig Patrol, each of which processes data on our behalf:
These providers only access data as needed to provide their service to us, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in between visits. We do not currently use advertising or tracking cookies.
We keep your account and listing information for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account or listing data deleted, email us at info@rigpatrol.com and we'll take care of it.
We use industry-standard tools (encrypted connections, hashed passwords, access controls on our database) to protect your information. That said, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Rig Patrol is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect information from, children under 13.
You can review and update your account information at any time from your Account page. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing info@rigpatrol.com.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
